Killer darts rules

By , updated

In Killer, every player has their own number and a few lives. First you become a killer by hitting your own number, then you aim at the others' numbers to take their lives. The last one with any left wins.

It's the game for nights with a crowd: the more players, the more numbers to aim at, and the more reasons to hold a grudge.

The aim

Be the last one with lives left. Everyone starts with 3.

Your number

Before the game, everyone throws one dart with their weaker hand: where it lands is their number.

Becoming a killer

Hit the double of your number.

Killing

As a killer, each double on an opponent's number takes one of their lives.

Careful: a killer who hits their own number loses lives too. The bull counts for nobody.

An example

Your number is 14. You hit double 14: you're a killer. Your next dart goes in double 9, Léa's number: she loses a life and has two left.

Careful with your third dart: if it lands in double 14 again, you're the one losing a life.

Variants

  • Everyone's number: thrown with the weaker hand before the game, wherever the dart lands, or drawn at random by Bullcast.
  • What counts: the double of the number, or the whole number. With the whole number, you become a killer with three marks (a single is one, a double two, a treble three), and each mark takes a life.
  • Lives: 3 or 5 on Bullcast.

On Bullcast

Killer comes with Bullcast Complete, and is open to everyone on a Bullcast pub's board. The TV shows everyone's number and lives, and who is a killer.

Questions

Does the bull count in Killer?

No, the bull counts for nobody.

What if a killer hits their own number?

They lose lives too, just as if they were aiming at an opponent.

How many players?

At least two, up to 8 on Bullcast. On your own, you can play the practice bot, with Bullcast Complete.
